Ladies and gentlemen, I have gathered you all here today because I have an important announcement to make. I, Libby Cardone, have mastered HTML. Please hold your gasps of shock. I know they said it couldn’t be done! They were wrong! And by they I mean me and if you’re wondering what the “it” that I couldn’t do actually is, it’s that I finally managed to get my picture to show up on my web page. Which may not seem like a big deal to some people, but it is to me! Bow to your HTML master!
If I felt comfortable with HTML last week, this week HTML felt like an old friend. I didn’t have to think twice adding in new elements like special fonts or strikethroughs, I knew where they should go and exactly what to do. It felt exciting having so much control!
Even getting my page to show up was easier, using FileZilla is much more familiar now and I could almost laugh remembering just three weeks ago when I was having a breakdown at my kitchen counter because it was almost midnight and my page wouldn’t show up. Almost…
Anyway! I really enjoyed the new design elements this week taught me. Overall I think the changing font color and strikethroughs were my favorite elements. I love the versatility these skills are giving me and I know that I can show off a really unique web page once I finish this class.
Maybe the thing I’m most proud of this week though is being able to see my own face staring back at me from my web page. Finally. After weeks of struggling I managed to get my photo to show up. I’ll pause now for your uproars applause.
I feel unstoppable. I can’t wait for next week!
